artificial intelligence, often shortened to AI, refers to the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. These processes include learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception, and language understanding. In the context of education in Cameroon, AI is being utilized to enhance learning experiences, personalize education, and provide access to quality educational resources to a wider population. On the other hand, games have long been used as a tool for engagement and learning. In the realm of education, gamification is the process of applying game design principles and mechanics to non-game contexts, such as learning environments. This approach can increase motivation, engagement, and retention among students, making education more interactive and enjoyable. The combination of AI and games in education in Cameroon holds immense potential for transforming traditional teaching methods and improving student outcomes. AI-powered educational games can adapt to individual learning styles and pace, providing targeted support and challenges to students. By analyzing data from students' interactions with the games, AI algorithms can generate insights to inform personalized learning paths and interventions. Furthermore, AI can facilitate the creation of intelligent tutoring systems within educational games, offering real-time feedback, guidance, and assessment to students. This personalized approach helps optimize the learning process, ensuring that each student receives tailored support based on their strengths and areas for improvement. In conclusion, the convergence of artificial intelligence and games in education in Cameroon represents a promising frontier for innovation and progress. By harnessing the power of AI to enhance educational games, educators can create dynamic, adaptive learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of students. As technology continues to advance, embracing AI-supported games in education can lead to more inclusive, engaging, and effective learning environments for the youth of Cameroon.
